McDonnell Talks Transportation in Latest TV Ad

-Northern Virginia Spot Features Candidate Speaking Directly to Viewers about his Detailed Transportation Plan-

ARLINGTON- Bob McDonnell, Republican gubernatorial nominee and former Attorney General of Virginia, is up with a new television ad in which he speaks directly with viewers about his specific plans for getting traffic moving again in Northern Virginia. The ad airs in the wake of news that the Kaine Administration has allowed Virginia to come in dead last among all 50 states and the District of Columbia in the utilization of available federal transportation dollars.

In the ad, “Priorities”, McDonnell says:

“I grew up here in Northern Virginia. So I understand how vital transportation is to growing our economy and creating jobs. My plan: new money for transportation while protecting education funding and not raising taxes. We’ll set new priorities to build and repair roads. One new idea: invest half a billion dollars into roads by selling state liquor stores. New funds to widen I-66, improve I-95 and complete Metro to Dulles. Better roads mean better jobs.”
