Governor-Elect Bob McDonnell to Volunteer at Central Virginia Foodbank Tomorrow

Will be Joined by Members of the General Assembly and Spouses

Virginia Governor-elect Bob McDonnell, along with First Lady-designate Maureen McDonnell and two of his daughters, will continue Inaugural Week volunteering at the Central Virginia Foodbank tomorrow, Wednesday, January 13th at 2:30 p.m.  He will be joined by members of the General Assembly and their spouses.  The Central Virginia Foodbank is located in Richmond.

The Federation of Virginia Food Banks is one of two official partners of the Inauguration.  McDonnell is a longtime supporter of and advocate for Virginia’s Food Banks. As Attorney General he helped initiate and chaired the “Statewide Legal Food Frenzy,” a philanthropic competition among Virginia’s legal community benefiting Food Banks statewide.

Additionally, in partnership with The Salvation Army for Inauguration week, Coat bins will be placed at the Foodbank the entire week.  The Governor-elect is encouraging the general public to donate a coat as part of the Inaugural’s statewide coat drive.

All members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend.
