Governor McDonnell pledged during his campaign to have the central focus of his Administration would be on bringing more jobs and greater opportunities to every corner of the Commonwealth. 

While there’s still more work to do, the Governor has achieved some impressive results thus far:

• Unemployment has dropped from 7.2% in February, 2010 to 6.3% today - 3rd lowest east of the Mississippi;
   
• Virginia has added 55,000 net new jobs since the Governor took office - 8th most in the country;
   
• Virginia was named the most business friendly state in America in 2010.

  The Governor’s office just released a short video compiling local television news coverage of many of the stops along the Governor’s recent Virginia at Work! tour, during which he highlighted some of the great new job-creating business openings and expansions taking place throughout the Commonwealth, and I’ve included it below for your enjoyment.  Please share it with friends and family, and thank you very much for your continued support!
