This commercial is great, except it feels like it ends too soon… it needs something to “wrap up” the ad and give it a good ending.  love the message though!

I am extremely proud to support a candidate that is advertising how he is going to make things better and not put out defensive ads pointing out all of the other candidate’s dirt. It’s about time we have someone who truly will stand up for us and will fight to make Virginia a better place to live. Thank you Bob!

Nice, pithy, positive & green.  Good Work!

Well done!!!!

The “jobs” governor - right on! I am busy bringing his information and message to my neighborhood. Anyone who is “thinking” about helping out ... NOW is the time.

Let’s do better than win - let’s win BIG and keep our momentum & message going ...

Good message/commercial. I like the way nuclear is there, but not too prominent in the graphics. The fast moving energy “droplets” will appeal to the younger generation.
On another note, the communications aspect of this campaign is impressive. Facebook, email updates, the web site and Twitter all being a part of the structure reaches a good number of voters in a cost effective manner that is current with todays media. Well done!

Love the new Green Jobs Ad

Great commercial.  There is no such thing as bipartisan in this country so I wish you luck in that effort.  I want drilling off Va shores.

We conservatives are so looking forward to a new governor in VA that will do what’s right and get us back on track as one of the greatest states in which to live.

Bob,
Thank you for speaking up for all of us.  We need to get our message out to the people.

Good ad!!  You have my monetary support and my vote.

I like the ad positive and ot th epoint, not a single negative reference to his opponent.
It’s interesting that during the debate at the Homestead,
Creigh Deeds chastised Bob for sounding like “he was running for federal office..In Deeds’ TV ads, in addition to aligning himself with Warner, that’s exactly what Deeds
sounds like.

The “all of the above” solution to energy has always seemed to be the best solution. Leftists think that we can switch to purely alternative fuels, when such an idea is irrational. Solar and wind power alone is not going to help our country. By exploring all available options including off shore drilling and nuclear we will reduce our dependency on foreign energy, one day for good, while creating many jobs. I support Bob’s position on this.

Very well done, very straight forward, good power point graphics

I like Bob’s positions on many issues including energy. You have my vote!

Great commercial, appeals to all ages - I am glad we are going to have a governor who will use multiple sources of energy, including nuclear.  Drilling off shore - great idea! Very positive ad, bi-partisan inclusion, I hope liberals are open-minded enough to accept co-operation.
In the next commercial include a more forceful ending, more upbeat.
You use all media very wisely, including Twitter and Facebook.  You have my vote, my support, and my volunteer time.

Good add.  I like the positive message.  Unfortunately the Democrats only want to point out what’s wrong with Virginia instead of whats good.  You have my vote.

Very good ad! Refreshing, no mud slinging involved. Bob has my vote. He can get our beautiful Virginia back on the proper course. Thank you.

I’m proud to be a young McDonnell supporter. Not all young people drink the liberal’s cool-aid!

Nice, positive ad. Contemporary.

Now just get in there and do what you say you’re going to do!

Thanks!

Including a picture of an off-shore natural gas drilling platform, with the sunset in the background, would be a great way to end this commercial.

Virginians can indeed lead the way in alternative energy and I’m glad that Bob McDonnell is sending out the message. If you don’t follow him on Twitter either start, or if you don’t have a Twitter account get one and help spread his message!

I appreciate that the ad focuses on a main topic and doesn’t focus on the other candidate.  Good job!

Like the commercial.  It would be nice if Virginia could be one of the leaders in the ‘all of the above approach’ to energy.

Bob, I appreaciate your Statesmanship.  I am totally behind your campaign.  I love your energy and jobs strategy.  But I love your support of family and life even more.  You are the right man for the right job at a time when moral responsibility is desperately needed in this nation.  God bless you and God bless the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I like this new ad.  I like Bob’s position on energy and I especially like his decision to focus on creating jobs.  What makes this ad a great one is not what is in it, but what is not in it, such as a black and white photo of his opponent with scary music.  Bob is running a great campaign full of positive messages and he is letting his opponent do the opposite.  There is no mention of the name of Bob’s opponent in this ad, which is the right way to go.  Let the other guy waste people’s time with attacks on issues like abortion.  The other guy likes to talk more about Bob’s plans for jobs and transportation then he likes to talk about his own plans.  And this new ad from Bob does not address that all, which can be describe as taking the high road, however I like to describe it as focusing on what is important; as running a positive campaign; and as acting as a responsible public servant.
I hope his next ad will mention something about low voter turnout in an effort to attract as many registered voters to the polls on Election Day.  Low turnout by GOP voters is the way only Bob can lose.

We’re with you, Bob.

Suggestion for the next commercial - something with a wryly funny subject, not mean to poor old Deeds, just something to make the libs sputter.

And don’t forget one for us NRA folks cloaked in the theme of the American Revolution.

Great balance and perspective in the Energy ad.  Good slogan “Energy Capital of the East Coast”.  As a long supporter of nuclear energy, I am glad to see it becoming visible in a serious ad by our next Governor.

Great Ad, it says it all, well.
Bob is doing well in Highland County(my home), where it is no longer Deeds Country.

Needs a good closer. “Energy independence from those who hate us, jobs for Virginia,  respect for the air we breath, the water we drink and the Lovers of Virginia.”

#32. Posted by Elaine Bennett on August 30, 2009

great commercial. I agree with all kinds of energy too. I also agree with you about drilling for oil and gas. Commercial is right to the point.
