I recently moved to Virginia from Indiana. These are both red states that went blue in the last election. I have to admit that since moving to Abingdon, I have spoken with a lot of the locals and see a huge conservative base. Only the newspapers and local govt. seem to be more liberal, not the average base. I am pleasantly surprised and happy that we moved to a conservative area.
I am unemployed right now and looking for a job. Meanwhile, I thought it would be nice to volunteer in the public arena. I am a political junkie, and would love the opportunity to work for a conservative organization to assist in getting this country back on-track.
