Community Forum Tonight

Bob will be taking part in a gubernatorial community forum tonight at Virginia Union University. The forum is scheduled to start at 6:15pm. However, the format of the debate now has both candidates taking the stage at different times, which are yet to be determined. Read more about the forum here.

I do not think that McDonnell should’ve had to apologized for having a Confederate flag booth next to his campaign booth. This is Virginia, it was the most powerful and influential state in the Confederacy. I think that it is about time that we stop looking at the Confederate flag as a symbol of hate, and start honoring our souhern heritage.

Candidate McDonnell in my opinion did a better job expressing himself in the forum at VUU than Deeds. He was more relaxed and fluent in his responses to the structured questions asked. Although I got to the event late and he was in the Q&A phase of the forum, he showed better poise than Deeds.

Candidate Deeds was stiff and nervous after being introduced and had too many hesitations in his responses to the structured questions. I, for one, would be reserved to give him my vote to be the 71st governor of Virginia.

I asked a question of Mr. Deeds and was given a shallow answer to which he abruptly walked away. I’ve voted democratic since being able to cast a vote. I have no problem jumping the fence to vote for Mr. McDonnell. Mr. McDonnell showed better poise and tact at the forum than Mr. Deeds.

My question, “Why do you want to be the 71st governor of Virginia and what difference can you make that previous governors, from Patrick Henry(Virginia’s first) to Timothy Kaine(Virginia’s seventyith). I did not get to ask this of Mr. McDonnell. I’m sure I would have gotten a better response and not a quick retreat.

Thank you.

I support Bob McDonnell for Gov. 100% and am helping in James City Co on his cammpaign.

I would like for him to come out with his views on education and to dispute Deeds TV ads saying he voted against smaller classrooms and teachers pay.  I think he needs to come out saying he is for these issues.
