It’s shameful that the administration would be allowing delays to occur on something so important to the state’s economy.
Drill, baby, drill!
Don’t wait for Salazar. You have the power to extend your states territories into the submerged lands and do the work your self and keep the revinue for your state. See http://www.FloridaOil.org and see what we are doing. Feel free to call me.

Are you aware of the $2B investment that Orbital recently made in expanding the rocket launch business at Wallops Island? Putting drilling platforms off the coast, out of sight of the beaches, might be great for everyone else, but will throw a wrench into the rocket launch capability of Wallops due overflight safety issues. The Orbital business has the potential to turn Virginia’s spaceport into an equal competitor with Kennedy in Florida. Perhaps nobody cares since it’s the Eastern Shore and not Northern VA.
It’s about time! Energy independence is great for Virginia and this country! We should not be dependent on the very people who are trying to kill us or funding those who will or already has!
Combine that and geting much-needed jobs back in to the hands of “our” unemployed, sovereignty is on its way!
What a great team effort across party lines. I am proud to see that our state officials agree on some of the major issues that benefit both our state and our country.
Dave, it isn’t that no one cares because of your location. That isn’t even a reasonable argument. Florida is a better location due to its proximity to the earth’s equator and its benefits from centrifical forces to support launching satellites. Regardless, there is more than enough territory off our coast to support both ventures but only one produces a profit while the other is a tax-payer funded operation. I think we could all benefit from a profit making venture moreso than another tax-payer funded anything.
