Bob to Attend VEDP Event

Bob will be attending an event hosted by the Virginia Economic Development Program (VEDP). The VEDP helps individuals who want to develop a small business get started by providing them the proper resources, and helps existing businesses expand to help create more jobs in the state.

Governor (elect),

I am writing you to say that Virginians, whom you will be representing at this economic event, do not agree with the current propoganda being tauted by many regarding green house emissions, health care by the government and uncontrolled spending.  The Copenhagen Climate Summit will try to force the US to agree to a treaty that will criple the US.  As my Governor (elect), I am writing to inform you that I want you to do all in your power to defeat this effort.  America is independent and we won’t be held captive to this attempt to transfer our wealth to other nations.  What good will your attempts to increase small business do if our president and congress sell this great nation down the prime rose of destruction by signing a treaty that forces our Virginians to “pay cash to undeveloped nations”?

I provide the following quote from Reuters, dated 17 Nov 09:  “Denmark, host of the December 7-18 climate talks, welcomed Obama’s comments and said it expected the United States and all developed nations to promise firm emissions cuts and new cash to help the poor cope with global warming, even if no treaty text could be agreed.”

Our president and congress is selling this country down the tubes.  As our Governor (elect) we need you to stand up for us (Virginians).  We haven’t worked hard all our lives so this president and congress can give our hard earned wages and dreams of success away!  How can small businesses continue to compete if our president and congress continue to levy taxes on us and then give it away to foreign nations?

It is time for Virginia to say “enough is enough”.  Maybe we need to call our senators back from congress; maybe we need to tell congress that Virginia will not enforce laws and treaties that take Virginians’ wealth away and give it to other countries; or laws that establish socialist ways within our capitalist society.  Maybe it’s time to say “no” to the outrageous health bill coming down the pike…which will cause small business owners to reduce even more staff and pay even higher premiums.  How about standing up for Virginia now sir.  We voted you in and soon you will be the executive who makes decisions for Virginia.  Please make decisions for Virginia and not for the national agenda.  Fight this lunacy with all your newly gained powers.  We need a leader who is for the small businessman.  We provide 80% of the jobs…until we’re forced out of business due to big government.  We need you now more than ever.

Your actions and support for this issues will be closely watched.  Virginians will not stand for a Governor that does not look out for America and Virginia.  Don’t let us down like the past leadership has.

Thank you,

Henry Hudson
