Greeting Governor Elect McDonnell,

Would like to know what your thoughts are on the prison in Lawrenceville Va. (Brunswick Correctional Center) that closed up last year. Will your administration be looking into the posibilities of perhaps reopening the facility Some of my co-workers also would to know. What ever the answer I would like to thank you for your time in responding to this e-mail.

                    Thanks

I hear your ad about the special election being held here real soon. How the man you are indorsing in Virginia Beach helped to keep all these jobs in Virginia. But one of the people you about to bring on board with you has his own business. He is about to make some changes to his company that will devestate the people that work for him. He has already cut their hours and is about to make changes that could close the business down. How does someone that comes to work for you just do that to the people who have been working for him for over 25 years. His father founded the company and retired. Then his son and daughter took it over. They both are very well off. They have fancy cars and nice big beautiful expensive homes. The owner is about to put a men out of work that has worked their for 25 years. They have been loyal employees, made most of the money for the company, and their fellow employees. How can you endorse one man and hire another who is about to do this to his employees?

Governor McDonnell,
I urge you to reject Mr. Sledd’s request to remain on three corporate boards while serving in your cabinet.  It is the appearance of conflict that will damage you and the Commonwealth of you allow this to occur as has been reported.  It is a “slippery slope” to make such accomodations.  If the Dems did this, we Republicans would be screaming to high heaven!  Mr. Sledd is doing you and his state a disservice to insist on this as a condition of his service.  I am certain there are other well qualified people who could fill that slot.
