Dear Mr. McDonnell, every AM I tune in to the Andy and Grandy (Fred former congressman/actor) show with Bryan Nehmann (one of the questioners at your debate.  All morning I hear Deeds’ ads commenting on the paper you wrote long ago about women.  Mr. McDonnell, this show won first prize last year in talk radio - they have a conservative viewpoint because thousands of commuters into DC,
and northern VA listen to them.  the commercial on George Allen’s macaca phrase was played over and over again.  630WMAL—you folks need to either be on this station before eight once or twice a week rebuking Deeds or your campaign will go the way of George Allen.  The bulk of DC’s workers are commuting to work in DC - if you want to win this thing, am radio is where its at.

Great showing at the debate Bob, don’t get discouraged by the latest rasmussen poll!!

Not only is Deeds confused about taxes, he has yet to come out with a viable transportation plan.

A. buco does have a point.  People who commute and work during the day usually do not hear from the candidates directly.  All they hear are the soundbites and commercials.  An early radio appearance might go a long way to connecting with the vast majority of working professional voters.

You have GOT to run television and radio ads playing that “I think I made myself perfectly clear, young lady” clip over and over again.  Creigh Deeds is the one candidate in this race who has PROVEN himself to be condescending to women, in addition to having a forked tongue on taxes.  As a woman, I urge you to make sure all the women in Virginia know the truth about Deeds.  As his snarky supporters—who mocked me for being a working women supporting McDonnell—chant, “deeds, not words” (and this month, not 20 years ago) are what prove the man.

I listened to the debate in its entirety on CSPAN. I voted for Creigh Deeds in the Democratic primary for govenor. I believed he was the best democratic candidate on the ticket for that party. I am now supporting you for govenor in the general election!. I like your thoughts on transportation and energy for the state. I felt that Creigh Deeds trying to use your college thesis was weak and made him look unprepared to debate the issues. I am also supporting Jay McConville for 44th Delegate seat.. a great man for the job. Lets win this!!!!

Agree with BUCO. I to listen to the Grandy and Andy show on
AM 630. I know from listening to them daily that they have a huge listening audience and would really be a positive to get an interview/question session with them.

Another couple of statements from Deeds to the press like the ones he made after the debate and he might as well throw the towel in. If the press actually does it’s job Deeds will be in big trouble.

I want to commend you on your recent spots commenting on your grad school paper.  I would like to meet one person who has not changed views on something 20 years down the line.  You could have gone the way of mudslinging and found something in Deeds past to hit back with.  However, you took the high road.  If more politicians refused to “throw back” when an opponent slings mud or twists the truth, campaigns would deal more the the issues.  More often than not, campaigns are nothing but candidates taking voting records or issues out of context to make them a negative thing.  Politicians spend so much time trying to find fault with their opponents, they don’ spend any time on the issues.

Why not point out to potential voters that all Deeds has to say is to bring up a paper written 20 years ago by McDonnell? Good grief, if our President can write and/or say things 20 years ago and apparently they don’t matter all that much now, why make a big deal out of the paper? Does Mr.Deeds have anything to say regarding what he is capable of accomplishing? Play ground games sound like what Mr.Deeds is playing now.

A STRONG second to what KStreetMole said….

My gosh, talk about how Deeds feels about women.  When the pressure is on and he has no (or several differing) answer on taxes, he resorts to patronizing and demeaning this female reporter by calling her “young lady”.

Play this clip over and over again, and ask him to explain himself!
