We got snow here in Lynchburg, VA pls stop for a minute to look at my pictures of the blizzard of 2009
I am very upset with the way VDOT has taken care of the roads. I feel as if we pay enough to expect at least a once plowed over street in the older subdivisions without HOA to do it for us.
I sure hope when you are officially our Governor you won’t forget us here in Southwest Virginia like our present Governor has! Snow removal here this weekend has been a joke!
First snowman of the year for me!
It sure would be nice to have some rest stops available for drivers during this kind of weather… glad you’re reopening them soon!
VDOT did a great job here with the roads. This was a massive task and we should applaud those at VDOT for a job well done.
Kiddo’s for VDOT!!!!! VDOT experienced lay off’s and facing another round of cuts next week - they are doing miricles with what they have to work with! Contractor’s are being hired to replace VDOT work at three times the price to citizen’s but that comes out of another pot of money we do not see…... The people in my area that complained about the roads learned that it was a contractor they were waiting for…call your local VDOT office and ask who moves snow on your route! To all the cars that slid off of Interstate 81 - that’s a contractor!
